Earn2Trade Review 2026: The Prop Firm That Teaches You While It Tests You

Rating: 3.9/5 | Futures-Only | USA | Founded 2018

Most prop firms assume you already know what you’re doing. You buy an evaluation, attempt to pass the rules, get funded or fail. There’s no hand-holding. Earn2Trade takes a different approach: they combine trading education with the evaluation process, creating a hybrid that’s genuinely unique in the industry.

If you’re a beginner who wants to learn futures trading properly while working toward a funded account, Earn2Trade deserves serious consideration. If you’re an experienced trader who just wants the cheapest path to funding, look elsewhere.

What Is Earn2Trade?

Earn2Trade is a futures-focused proprietary trading firm founded in 2018. Unlike competitors who purely sell evaluations, Earn2Trade bundles comprehensive educational content, video courses, market analysis, strategy training, with their evaluation programs. The goal is to train traders and fund the ones who demonstrate consistent profitability.

When you pass an Earn2Trade evaluation, you’re funded through their broker partner Helios Trading Partners, a registered Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA). This gives funded traders more regulatory backing than typical “sim-funded” structures at other firms.

Key facts:

  • Account sizes: $25K to $150K
  • Two programs: Gauntlet Mini (1-step) and Trader Career Path (subscription)
  • Profit split: 80% to trader
  • Platforms: NinjaTrader, Finamark (proprietary)
  • Includes integrated trading education content

Two Programs: Gauntlet Mini vs. Trader Career Path

Earn2Trade offers two distinct evaluation programs. Choosing the right one matters significantly.

The Gauntlet Mini™

The Gauntlet Mini is a more traditional prop firm evaluation, a one-time monthly fee, a profit target, and rules to follow. Pass and get funded. It’s called “Mini” because there’s a standard Gauntlet (now less prominent) that it replaced.

Gauntlet Mini Rules:

  • Minimum 10 trading days before you can be considered for funding
  • 6% profit target from initial account size
  • EOD trailing drawdown: floor moves at end of each day based on closing balance
  • Daily loss limit in effect (varies by account size)
  • No time limit: take as long as needed after 10 days
  • Real commissions applied: you trade with live exchange commission rates from day one

The real commissions rule is unusual and worth noting. Most prop firms simulate zero-commission or reduced-commission environments during evaluation, then apply commissions in funded accounts. Earn2Trade applies live commissions from the start, which gives you a more realistic picture of your actual net profitability. This is honest, and it means traders who pass have demonstrated they’re profitable including trading costs.

Gauntlet Mini Pricing:

  • $25K account: ~$170/month
  • $50K account: ~$245/month
  • $100K account: ~$390/month
  • $150K account: ~$550/month

These are the highest prices of any firm in this review. The premium is justified by the education content and realistic trading conditions, but pure-evaluation shoppers will find better value elsewhere.

The Trader Career Path® (TCP)

The Trader Career Path is Earn2Trade’s signature program and what makes them truly different. It’s a subscription-based system where you start at a smaller account and scale up as you hit milestones.

The TCP works like a career progression: you begin at $25K or $50K, hit profit milestones, and your account gets scaled up to the next level, all the way to $200K, without needing to restart or pay additional evaluation fees. You’re building a track record, not just passing a one-time test.

Trader Career Path Milestones (example for $25K start):

  • Start: $25K sim account
  • Milestone 1: Hit target → scale to $50K sim
  • Milestone 2: Hit target → scale to $75K sim
  • … Continue scaling up to $200K with consistent performance

The monthly subscription cost covers both the evaluation and the educational content, so you’re getting trading courses, webinars, and analysis tools bundled in.

Activation fee: After passing, a one-time $139 activation fee is deducted from your first withdrawal (not paid upfront). This covers CME market data fees for the LiveSim® account.

The Education Component

Where Earn2Trade genuinely differentiates itself is the education. Subscribers get access to:

  • Recorded course library covering futures basics, technical analysis, risk management, and trading psychology
  • Live market analysis sessions with Earn2Trade educators
  • Pre-trade checklists and journaling frameworks
  • Community access with other Earn2Trade traders

For beginners who are serious about building a real skill set, not just gambling on evaluations until one sticks, this educational layer has real value. Many traders report that going through the Earn2Trade courses first made them materially better at understanding market structure and risk.

Platform Support: Limited but Capable

Earn2Trade supports two platforms:

  • NinjaTrader (the industry standard for futures day trading)
  • Finamark (Earn2Trade’s proprietary web-based platform)

This is the most limited platform lineup of any firm in this review. If you use Tradovate, TradingView, Quantower, or ATAS, you’ll need to adapt. NinjaTrader is excellent, feature-rich, highly customizable, and trusted by professional traders, but the dual-platform limitation is a real constraint for traders already comfortable on other tools.

The Funded Account Experience

After passing either program and activating your account, you trade through Helios Trading Partners in a LiveSim® account. Your trades happen in simulation, but payouts are real. Profit is split 80/20: you keep 80%.

Payouts are requested through Earn2Trade’s dashboard. The process is straightforward, with payments via ACH bank transfer. Processing typically takes 3–5 business days.

The $139 activation fee is deducted from your first payout, not charged upfront. This is a nice feature, you don’t need to pay it until you’re actually making money.

Drawdown Rules

Earn2Trade uses EOD trailing drawdown across both programs. As explained in other reviews, this means your floor resets at the end of each trading day based on your closing balance, not your intraday high.

For the Gauntlet Mini, the drawdown trail kicks in from day one. For the Trader Career Path, the same EOD mechanism applies during evaluation and in funded milestones.

Daily loss limits are enforced (unlike MFFU or Apex’s evaluation phase), adding an extra layer of discipline that benefits beginners learning to manage risk.

Pricing Reality Check

Earn2Trade is the most expensive futures prop firm in this review. For a $50K evaluation:

  • Apex Trader Funding: ~$187/month (often 50-90% off with discounts)
  • Topstep: $99/month
  • MyFundedFutures Rapid: $129/month
  • Earn2Trade Gauntlet Mini: ~$245/month

The price premium is real. Whether it’s justified depends entirely on whether you value the educational content. If you’re already a competent futures trader with a proven strategy, you’re overpaying. If you’re building your skill set from scratch and want a structured learning path alongside the evaluation, the premium makes sense.

Community Reputation

Earn2Trade has a generally positive but quieter community presence than the larger firms. Trustpilot reviews are mostly positive, and Reddit threads about Earn2Trade tend to focus on two groups: beginners who praise the education, and experienced traders who feel the price is too high for what they need.

No major controversy or payout denial issues have been documented in the community.

Who Should Use Earn2Trade?

Earn2Trade is ideal for:

  • Beginners who want structured education alongside the evaluation process
  • Traders who want a career-progression path (TCP scales from $25K to $200K)
  • Traders who already use NinjaTrader and don’t need platform flexibility
  • Anyone who wants realistic commission conditions during evaluation

Earn2Trade may not be ideal for:

  • Experienced traders seeking the cheapest path to funding (too expensive)
  • Traders who need platform flexibility (only NinjaTrader and Finamark)
  • Traders who want 90/10 profit splits (80/20 is the only option)
  • Fast-moving traders who need quick account resets (reset fees match monthly prices)

Final Verdict

Earn2Trade occupies a unique niche in the prop firm landscape: education-first, evaluation-second. For beginners who recognize they need to actually learn trading before they can trade other people’s money, this is genuinely valuable. The Trader Career Path’s progressive scaling model is the most thoughtful approach to developing a funded trader career of any firm in this review.

The high pricing and limited platform support keep Earn2Trade from competing head-to-head with Apex or Topstep for experienced traders. But that’s not who Earn2Trade is for. If you’re starting from scratch and want to do it properly, Earn2Trade offers something the other firms don’t: an actual education.
